Bio-oils/FCC co-processing: Insights into the adsorption of guaiacol on Y zeolites with distinct acidity and textural properties

نویسندگان

چکیده

The guaiacol adsorption capacity of several Y zeolites with different physicochemical properties was tested by performing breakthrough experiments, in order to investigate the on Fluid Catalytic Cracking catalysts during bio-oils/FCC feedstocks co-processing. X-Ray diffraction, nitrogen sorption measurements and pyridine followed Infrared Spectroscopy were used determine framework Si/Al ratio, textural parameters, finally nature amount acid sites. Klinkenberg model fit experimental data obtain ka (overall coefficient mass transfer) Ke (adsorption equilibrium constant) which are directly related to, respectively, kinetic thermodynamic aspects. values, so adsorption, observed increase total number Brønsted Lewis sites zeolites, as well Na exchange. Conversely, mesoporosity increases diffusion rate inside zeolite structure, leading higher values decreasing retention. Overall, show that FCC catalysts, its impact activity, might decrease catalyst age, owing changes taking place operation.

Theoretical insights into the adsorption behavior of CO molecules on the pure and Vn-doped BN nanotubes

Interaction of pure and Vn-doped (8, 0), (12, 0) and (16, 0) boron nitride nanotubes with CO molecules was studied using B3LYP/6-311++G(d) theoretical level. Substituting V instead of B atoms, increased the reactivity of nanotube. From the results, the complex stability depends on the direction and the number of the CO molecules interacted with the nanotube. In this work, the quantum...

Modeling of Adsorption Properties of Zeolites: Correlation with the Structure

The adsorption of N2 and CO in Na X-zeolites has been studied for different framework structures and extraframework cation distributions. To this aim, the cation-molecule system modeling one site has been embedded in a set of external point charges which simulate the zeolite environment of the site and has been treated quantum chemically, using a method based on density functional theory. This ...
